Bored

I`m starting to get bored, as certain people seems do not have the proper input
on what to follow thru.

The email that i sent out was meant as an input for them to gather data and act on it.
However, they simply fail to understand this, unfortunately.

Mm....

Mm.... at times i thought a 5 star property would be perfect in a sense of SOP and methodology in Financial areas...but sadly, it`s not.

There can be flaws and not systematics at times..
When the flaws are revealed and being pointed out, though, the earlier team
kinda jump to the gun....and acted as they are more knowledgeble than usual...

I have go thru this month, understood further on certain things
and realised that there are much things to be improved in terms of operations and execution.

Died a natural death - a term that simply describe a weak leadership ...
Without a proper enforcement, such thing tends to happen....

I will see what else to look at via next month.
Then again, a chance to outshine the rest is always there but i have to move
at a pace conformtable to my steps..

My 2nd month target is to outshine myself compare to the rest of the team,
meaning to be 3 steps in front of all scenarios without fail.

Upselling methods

1. Occupancy - Based on monthly forecast occupany per day
2. Room Revenue forcast - based of forecast room to sell * forecast average rate
3. Upsell revenue target - certain %, i.e 0.03% * room revenue forecast
4. Front Office Upsell Revenue target - upsell revenue target * 0.6%
5. Indicative of number of upsell made, and the number of nights

Quite funny to notes that a big property at times can simply missed out certain important rules to follow - check and balance / departmental audit..

1. Credit card batching updates
2. Limo inquiry ( commision calculation ?)if any
3. Traces check
4. F&B posting check
5. Club floor laundry ( accumulative / non accumulative )
6. Laundry / internet supporting for rebates - club floor?
7. Pre-check in process ( details )

Personal Target

1. PCR enrollment as per targeted 1500 for month of October 2011
2. PCR enrollment personally - minimum 25 this month
3. Personal Upselling - minimum 5 rooms upselling.
